Olivier Cognet has joined Belgium-based telecoms company Belgacom in a newly created role as director of seeds and partnerships.
Belgacom’s Cognet joins Belgacom after previously heading business development corporate at Finland-based mobile phones company Nokia, worked as an operating principal at US-based private equity firm Clayton Dubilier and Rice, as well as working in the European corporate business development team at US-based technology company Cisco Systems.
Cognet joined Belgacom at the beginning of this month and he reports to Matteo Gatta, Belgacom’s vice president of group strategy questions.
Gatta said: "Olivier’s role will be to seed and push ideas aiming at strengthening differentiation and at creating long term growth."
Cognet said: "This shows our commitment to intensify this type of activities and to differentiate ourselves in the market."
