Israel-based primary care platform developer K Health has raised $12.5m in financing from a consortium including mass media group Comcast’s corporate venturing unit, Comcast Ventures.
Investment fund BoxGroup, investment firm Mangrove Capital Partners and venture capital firms Lerer Hippeau, Primary Venture Partners, Max Ventures and Bessemer Venture Partners also contributed to the round.
K Health has created a mobile app that combines artificial intelligence technology and the experience of a large network of physicians to provide personalised health information for users.
Health maintenance organisation Maccabi Healthcare Services developed the app, which makes use of anonymised data from health visits going back more than 25 years. It recently expanded the platform’s dataset by striking deals with several New York-based primary care providers.
