Cornerjob, the Spain-based developer of a recruitment app for manual and service jobs, has completed a $10m series A round featuring Ad4Ventures, the advertising-for-equity subsidiary of media company Mediaset, TechCrunch reported on Monday.
Antai Business Angels, Sabadell Capital, Bonsai Venture Capital, Cube Investments, Ithaca Investment, Samaipata Ventures, La Caixa Capital Risc and Media Digital Ventures also took part in the round.
Founded in April 2015, Cornerjob operates a marketplace for temp jobs in sectors such as customer service, construction, logistics, sales, events and tourism. The service launched in Italy in September and has since expanded to France, Mexico and Spain.
The company, which is currently allowing corporate customers to use the platform for free, will spend the funding on marketing, product development and team expansion.
