IDfy, an India-based background verification services provider backed by e-commerce company Beenos, has secured Rs 195m ($3.1m) in a round that included New Enterprise Associates (NEA), NB Ventures, and Dream Incubator, VCCircle reported on Tuesday, citing people aware of the development. The round came after IDfy had received $3m in 2015 from Beenos, NEA, Faktory Ventures and Blume Ventures, the venture capital firm that has provided it with seed funding in 2012.
Saudi Aramco Energy Ventures, the strategic investment arm of oil and gas company Saudi Aramco, joined private equity firm CSL Capital Management to invest an undisclosed sum in US-based oilfield completion tool developer Gryphon Oilfield Solutions on Wednesday. Gryphon will put the funding toward commercialising its business and expanding its portfolio of dissolvable tools.
Spice Digital, the mobile services subsidiary of telecommunications device producer Spice Mobility, has agreed to supply Rs 125m ($2m) for Luharia Technologies, the India-based operator of peer-to-peer lending platform Anytimeloan.in, VCCircle has reported, citing a stock exchange filing. The corporate will take a 20% share of Anytimeloan through the deal, which is expected to close in the next month.
India-based online lending platform FinReq has raised an undisclosed amount of funding from media group Bennett, Coleman and Company, VCCircle reported yesterday. The firm made the investment through its media-for-equity unit, Brand Capital, and the proceeds from the deal will fund marketing as well as company expansion and an increase in FinReq’s partnerships.
Real estate developer Global Yellow Pages (GYP) has provided S$2m ($1.5m) of funding for FundPlaces, the Singapore-based creator of a blockchain-based real estate investment management platform, E27 reported on Wednesday. The transaction gave GYP, which transitioned from its classified listings service to full-time real estate activities in 2017, a 50.1% stake in FundPlaces.
Diversified conglomerate RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group has led a Rs 50m ($790,000) pre-series A round for HW Wellness Solutions, the India-based owner of online nutritional snacks retailer True Elements and health and wellness e-commerce platform HealthyWorld, VCCircle reported yesterday. The round also featured undisclosed new and existing investors, and follows $200,000 raised by the company in a 2015 angel round.
