TechSee, an Israel-headquartered provider of remote technical assistance technology, has closed a $30m series C round co-led by subsidiaries of enterprise software developer Salesforce and telecommunications firm Telus.
Salesforce Ventures and Telus Ventures co-led the round alongside crowdfunding platform OurCrowd, and it included Scale Venture Partners and Planven Entrepreneur Ventures.
Founded in 2015, TechSee has developed augmented reality software that enables technicians to help customers install or repair electronic devices without visiting their property.
The cash will help the company expand its product range with a view to serving new markets in response to coronavirus-driven demand for remote technical support.
Scale Venture Partners led a $16m series B round for TechSee in late 2018 that included Salesforce Ventures, customer experience services provider Comdata, OurCrowd and Planven Investments.
The funding followed a $7.5m series A in 2017 led by Planven and backed by Comdata and Innogy, the energy utility since acquired by Eon, as well as OurCrowd and undisclosed additional investors.
