Lynk, the China-based operator of a business knowledge portal, secured $24m yesterday in a funding round co-led by MassMutual Ventures, the strategic investment arm of insurance firm Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance.
The round was also co-led by venture capital firm Brewer Lane Ventures and included e-commerce group Alibaba’s Entrepreneurs Fund. It increased the company’s overall funding to $30m, it said.
Founded in 2015, Lynk runs an online knowledge portal where enterprise clients can source credible business development insights from more than 840,000 specialists and use natural language processing-based tools to index conversations.
The funding will drive the company’s growth in North America and help deliver new tools for its subscription-based service.
MassMutual Ventures’ Southeast Asia unit led a round of undisclosed size for Lynk in November 2019 that was also backed by Alibaba Entrepreneurs Fund and VC firm Wavemaker Partners.
The company had already secured $4m in a 2017 series A round featuring conglomerate Hong Leong Group, construction firm Zhuhai Da Heng Qin, Cyberport Management Company, CRE Venture Capital and Wavemaker, which had previously led its $1m seed round in 2015.
