US-based software development technology provider Quali collected $22.5m on Tuesday in a series C round featuring construction firm Orr Partners and computing hardware producer Dell’s corporate venturing unit, Dell Ventures.
Jerusalem Venture Partners led the round, which included fellow venture capital firms Evergreen Ventures and Gemini Israel Ventures, as well as growth-stage debt provider Kreos Capital.
Founded in 2007, Quali develops and sells software used by technology vendors, service providers and enterprises to automate parts of the software development process including testing, demoing and support. It plans to use the funds to increase sales in the US and open new offices in the Texan city of Austin.
Lior Koriat, Quali’s chief executive, said: “We are quite pleased to raise this new round of funding and welcome the investment from JVP that has a demonstrated track record of building great companies.
“The Quali CloudShell platform is a proven leader in the industry and this new round allows us to accelerate our go-to-market and increase our innovation velocity.”
The company completed a $8m funding round in 2014 led by what Quali described as the venture capital arm of a cloud company, which invested alongside Evergreen Ventures, Gemini Israel and Fishman Investments.
Quali had previously raised $2.3m in a 2012 round led by Evergreen and backed by Gemini Israel, Fishman asset manager Altshuler-Shaham and financial services firm Strauss Investments.
