Doppler Labs, a US-based manufacturer of wireless earplugs, has secured funding from entertainment company Live Nation Entertainment, talent agency William Morris Endeavor and record company Universal Music Group.
The size of the round has not been disclosed. Concurrently, Doppler is aiming to secure crowdfunding for its flagship product Here Active Listening System and has raised nearly $430,000 as of the time of writing – reaching its goal of $250,000.
Here is a set of wireless earplugs that connect to a smartphone app and enable the user to filter out the sounds they want and do not want to hear around them, such as suppressing engine noise in an airplane or amplifying a band at a concert.
Noah Kraft, who founded Doppler in 2013 and serves as the company’s chief executive, said: “Support from these music-industry leaders helps position the Here Active Listening System to revolutionize live entertainment – especially for concerts and live music.”
