France-based cybersecurity software developer Sentryo raised €10m ($11.3m) today in a series A round featuring IT consultancy Sopra Steria and Breed Reply, the corporate venturing arm of connected technology producer Reply.
BNP Paribas Développement, a subsidiary of financial services firm BNP Paribas, also took part in the round along with private equity firms Omnes and Alliance Entreprendre, investment manager Ace Management and venture capital firm Kreaxi.
Founded in 2014, Sentryo provides software which uses artificial intelligence to identify vulnerabilities in industrial networks in order to combat potential cyber attacks.
The company’s ICS CyberVision platform is used by corporations in industrial markets such as energy, oil and gas, manufacturing, building management and transportation. It will use the funds to expand in Europe and the US.
Breed Reply had previously led Sentryo’s $2.2m seed round in March 2016, investing together with Kreaxi and Ace Management.
Thierry Rouquet, Sentryo’s co-founder and president, said: “Customers rely on Sentryo to empower their control engineers to protect their industrial assets and work with IT managers to include [operational technology] in their cybersecurity strategy.”
