Corporates sink series B capital into Tink

Germany-based smart home technology supplier Tink has raised €10m ($11.3m) in series B funding from investors including power producer Vattenfall, e-commerce holding company Rocket Internet and media company Prosiebensat.1, Handelsblatt has reported.

Prosiebensat.1 took part in the round through corporate venturing unit SevenVentures. Tink had raised an undisclosed sum from SevenVentures, Rocket Internet’s Capital Partners unit and the Rocket Internet-affiliated Global Founders Capital fund in 2016, and an undisclosed amount from Vattenfall in August 2017.

Founded in 2015, Tink has created an online platform that enables customers to source curated smart products for their home. In addition to investing, Vattenfall intends to partner the company, allowing its own customers to access items from its platform.
