Corporates support Crossbeam’s series A round

Crossbeam, the US-based creator of a collaborative data platform for enterprises, has received $12.5m in a series A round featuring enterprise software providers Slack, Salesforce and HubSpot.

FirstMark Capital led a round that also included fellow venture capital firms First Round and Uncork Capital. The corporates participated through subsidiaries Slack Fund, HubSpot Ventures and Salesforce Ventures.

Founded in 2018, Crossbeam has built a software platform that takes existing data from enterprise software applications such as those provided by Salesforce or HubSpot, to help form and strengthen connections with partner companies.

First Round and Uncork Capital co-led Crossbeam’s $3.4m seed round in January this year, investing alongside Slack Fund.

Andrew Lindsay, HubSpot’s vice-president of corporate development and business development, said: “As a platform, HubSpot is partnering with thousands of companies to complement our product with a rich landscape of applications.

“Partnerships are core to our value proposition and partnering is intrinsic to our operations. By injecting more data into the process, Crossbeam has the potential to greatly ease the formation of new partnerships and streamline the management of existing ones for HubSpot and all [software-as-a-service] companies alike.”
