Travel price-tracking software developer Yapta has been bought by business expenditure management platform Coupa Software in a deal that enabled corporates Concur and Amadeus to exit.
Founded in 2007, Yapta provides cloud-based software that lets travel agents and corporate clients track the price of flights and accommodation, using price assurance deals to rebook reservations as they become cheaper.
The system will augment the travel and expense section of Coupa’s Business Spending Management platform, which helps enterprises effectively maintain their accounts.
Yapta had raised $22.3m in funding according to regulatory filings and press releases, including $5m in 2011 from Concur, the expense management services provider acquired by enterprise software producer SAP three years later.
The company had closed a series D round at $6.2m in 2013 featuring Concur’s Perfect Trip Fund and travel software provider Amadeus, later adding $2.3m in equity and debt financing in rounds in 2014 and 2015.
