Enterprise software providers Twilio, SendGrid and Slack participated in a $10.1m series A round for US-based marketing software developer Courier on Monday.
Venture capital firm Bessemer Venture Partners led the round, which included Matrix Partners, Acceleprise, Y Combinator, SaaS Ventures and angel investors including Allen Gannett, Andrew Miklas, Edith Harbaugh, Eric Koslow, Jack Altman, Joe Payne, Lachy Groom and Ott Kaukver.
Founded in 2019, Courier has built a software platform that enables marketing teams to create and deliver notifications and other transactional messages across a variety of applications.
Matrix Partners had led the startup’s $2.3m seed round in April 2019, investing alongside Y Combinator. It will put the cash toward the development of features such as delayed and scheduled messages and message batching in addition to recruitment for its product and engineering teams.
