US-based influencer marketing software provider CreatorIQ secured $24m in series C funding yesterday from investors including Unilever Ventures, the corporate venture capital vehicle for consumer goods manufacturer Unilever.
Investment manager Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors led the round through its Kayne Partners Fund, investing alongside growth equity firm TVC Capital.
CreatorIQ has developed a software platform that enables businesses to manage influencer marketing campaigns on social media. It also makes use of Unilever’s People Data Centers, which analyse data across the world to inform the corporate’s marketing strategies.
The series C funding will go to improving CreatorIQ’s data science and mesaurement capabilities and user experience in addition to international growth and bolstering its partnerships.
The company raised an undisclosed amount in a 2017 series A round led by investment adviser Affinity Group before adding $12m in a June 2019 series B led by TVC and backed by Affinity and Unilever Ventures.
Igor Vaks, CreatorIQ’s founder and chief executive, said: “As marketing leaders accelerate their transformation strategies to close their in-house gaps across their marketing capabilities, they are uniting best-in-class technologies with leading data providers.
“These marketing leaders are seeking to own their influencer marketing technology and data in order to elevate cross-team, increasingly remote collaboration consistency, ensure enterprise security and compliance, and provide data transparency.”
