US-based marketing management software provider CreatorIQ has secured $12m in series B funding from investors including Unilever Ventures, the corporate venture capital arm of consumer goods manufacturer Unilever.
Growth equity firm TVC Capital led the round, which also featured Affinity Group, the investment adviser formed in partnership with private equity group TPG and Evolution Media, the latter of which is the investment firm formed by TPG and talent agency CAA.
Founded as Social Edge, CreatorIQ has created a platform that helps manage social media influencer-led marketing campaigns.
The software helps marketers connect with online figures, and its social customer relationship management service means their influence can be tracked and aligned with certain audiences. Creator IQ raised an undisclosed sum in a mid-2017 series A round led by Affinity Group.
Vasiliki Petrou, CEO of beauty product supplier Unilever Prestige, said: “The entire digital advertising ecosystem understands the important role creators are playing in advertising and brand building; the industry needs forward-thinking companies to address issues like data transparency and fraud.
“CreatorIQ is proactively developing solutions that empower Unilever to continue to set global measurement standards for the influencer marketing industry. Their platform enhances the quality and integrity of our brands’ campaigns by safeguarding against follower fraud and brand safety issues.”
