Crossbeam shines with $76m series C

US-based customer data management technology developer Crossbeam secured $76m yesterday in a series C round featuring corporate investors HubSpot, Okta, Salesforce and Slack.

Venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz led the round, which included Blitzscaling Ventures, FirstMark Capital, First Round Capital, GTMFund, Redpoint Ventures and Uncork Capital.

Sales management software developer HubSpot, identity verification technology provider Okta, workplace collaboration tool provider Slack and enterprise software producer Salesforce were represented by HubSpot Ventures, Okta Ventures, Slack Fund and Salesforce Ventures respectively.

Founded in 2018, Crossbeam provides an online platform that enables companies to identify potential partner organisations with complementary products and services, allowing them to team up and co-sell their respective offerings to the same prospective customers.

Okta Ventures, Salesforce Ventures and Slack Fund all took part in a $25m series B round for Crossbeam in August 2020 led by Redpoint Ventures and also backed by FirstMark Capital, Uncork Capital and individuals affiliated with Partnership Lead.

FirstMark had already led the company’s $12.5m series A round the previous year, investing with Salesforce Ventures, Slack Fund, HubSpot Ventures, First Round and Uncork Capital. It came after Slack Fund had taken part in a $3.4m seed round co-led by Uncork Capital and First Round earlier in 2019.
