CyberAgent Ventures, the corporate venturing unit owned by Japan-based internet company CyberAgent, has begun accepting pitches from early-stage companies for its startup conference Rising Expo, The Bridge reported on Friday.
Rising Expo 2015 will take place on August 7 in Tokyo and CyberAgent is running regional qualifying events in Southeast Asia and South Korea in June.
CyberAgent stated that the 15 participants in 2014’s Rising Expo have raised ¥4bn ($33.3m) in total venture funding. They include Singapore-based fashion flash sales startup VIP Plaza, fish delivery service Hachimenroppi and empty space rental service Space Market.
