Ancora Biotech, a Switzerland-based developer of antibody-driven therapeutics, has raised $60m in a series A round co-led by SR One, the venture capital firm spun off by pharmaceutical firm GlaxoSmithKline, and private equity firm Lightspeed Venture Partners.
Stake sale
Consumer intelligence software provider Affle Global has paid approximately $11.8m for an additional 13.1% stake in India-based content curation app Indus OS (OSlabs) from Samsung Ventures, a subsdiary of cosnumer electronics manufacturer Samsung, through a secondary transaction the Business Standard reported on Saturday. The deal valued Indus at nearly $90m and increased the stake held by Affle and its affiliates to almost 60%.

US-based non-profit organisation Apparel Impact Institute has formed a $250m vehicle dubbed Fashion Climate Fund, which includes fashion brands Lululemon and H&M Group among its limited partners. The latter investor’s H&M Foundation also contributed, as did Schmidt Family Foundation. The fund will help achieve the firm’s sustainable fashion supply chain initiatives, investing in areas such as renewable electricity, sustainable material, coal reduction in manufacturing and energy efficiency improvement technologies.
US-based, healthcare-focused venture capital firm Seae Ventures has launched an inaugural fund sized at $107m that is backed by more than 30 investors including pharmaceutical firm Eli Lilly and health insurance providers Health Care Service Corporation, Blue Shield of California and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota. Its other limited partners include healthcare industry association American Hospital Association, investment firm Cambridge Associates and investment banking group Goldman Sachs. The fund will back companies founded by minority entrepreneurs, including women and members of black, indigenous and other minority communities, developing financial wellness, mental health, women’s health and personalised medicine products.
