M&A
DJS Antibodies, the UK-based inflammatory disease-focused antibody therapy developer backed by Amgen, has been acquired by another pharmaceutical firm, AbbVie, for $255m. Amgen unit Amgen Ventures contributed to an $8.4m round for the company in late 2020.
Metaverse developer Translucia has purchased Infofed, the Thailand-based esports software platform that counts video game media group GameWith and event management portal operator EventPop as investors, for an undisclosed amount.
Naborly, the US-based credit check services provider backed by rental insurance group Assurant Insurance, has been bought by property technology company SingleKey for an undisclosed sum. Assurant took part in its $7.5m seed round in 2019.
Home automation service Alarm.com has acquired US-based personal safety app developer Noonlight for an undisclosed amount, allowing online dating platform operator Match Group to exit. The company had raised $12m before Match added an undisclosed sum in early 2020.
Fund
US-based flexible office provider Workbox has formed a corporate venturing arm called Workbox Ventures to back developers of products focusing on the future of work, covering human resources, financial and property technology. Phillip Leslie will oversee the unit as managing partner.
Public markets
Prime Medicine, the US-based curative genetic therapy developer backed by internet technology group Alphabet, has listed on the Nasdaq Global Market in a $175m initial public offering. Alphabet unit GV held a 14.6% stake prior to the IPO, which involved Prime issuing almost 10.3 million shares priced at $17.00 each.
Droom Technology, the India-based online automotive marketplace backed by multiple corporates, has cancelled a $361m initial public offering. It had filed for the IPO on the Securities and Exchange Board of India in November 2021.
