Daily Harvest, a US-based provider of frozen organic food and drinks, has secured an undisclosed amount of series A funding from investors including corporate venturing unit WME Ventures, Fortune has reported.
WME Ventures, a subsidiary of talent agency William Morris Endeavor, was joined by Collaborative Fund, 14W, Rubicon Venture Capital, tennis player Serena Williams and actress and entrepreneur Gwyneth Paltrow.
Daily Harvest has so far shipped more than 1 million frozen organic smoothies to customers since launching in 2016, and also provides oats and chia puddings. None of its foods have refined sugars or preservatives.
The startup had previously closed a $980,000 seed round in March 2016 according to a regulatory filing, but did not disclose the investors in that round.
