Danke Apartment houses series A+ cash

China-based online apartment rental platform Danke Apartment has raised more than RMB100m ($14.7m) in series A+ funding from investors including co-working space provider URWork, China Money Network has reported.

Venture capital firm Joy Capital led the round, which also featured participation from existing investor Kaiwuhuadeng. It comes after Danke Apartment raised an undisclosed eight-figure renminbi amount in a 2015 series A round.

Founded in 2015, Danke Apartment manages more than 30,000 high-end apartments across Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen and Hangzhou.

The company intends to use the money to develop its product offering and expand into other cities including Tianjin, Guangzhou and Wuhan, and will also upgrade its big data and technology capabilities in a bid to improve user experience.

The round was disclosed alongide news that Shen Boyang, a former global vice-president at LinkedIn, will join Danke Apartment as chairman. Boyang is also the founder of collective buying website Nuomi.com, where some members of Danke’s core team had previously worked.
