Eddi Danasuputro has announced his departure from his chief executive role at Mandiri Capital, the corporate venture capital arm of Indonesia-based financial services firm Mandiri Bank, after nearly seven years at the helm.
“After six and a half years (two terms) of building this company, it’s time for me to pass on the baton to new management,” said Danusaputro in his statement. ”Too many stories of laughter, tears and drama to share in one post.”
He did not specify in the statement where he would be moving to next, saying he is still updating his curriculum vitæ.
Danasuputro’s departure from Mandiri Capital comes just one month after another high-profile exit from the unit, namely that of Joshua Agusta, who led the unit’s investment operations and fundraising activities as director of venture funds and is now executive director at venture capital firm Vertex Ventures.
Prior to joining Mandiri Capital in early 2016, Danusaputro spent nearly a year as a senior adviser at consulting firm Booz Allen Hamilton, where he helped efforts to re-establish the firm in the Southeast Asian market, before which he was managing director at Makara Capital from 2006 to 2014.
He had previously had stints across a number of roles at insurance provider Axa, Skha Consulting and Morgan Stanley, among others.
