Australia-based data collaboration platform Data Republic raised A$22m($16.2m) today in a series B round led by Singtel Innov8, the corporate venturing division of telecommunications firm Singtel Group, Business Insider reported.
The round included financial services firm ANZ, airline operator Singapore Airlines and Reinventure, the vehicle capital firm funded by banking group Westpac, as well as venture capital firms Qualgro and Ryder Capital, the latter through its Innovation Fund.
Data Republic has created a software platform that allows companies to share data and collaborate with each other. Its customers include banks, governments and companies in the aviation, retail and media industries.
Singapore Airlines has also agreed to begin collaborating with Data Republic, working with the company’s partners in Singapore and Australia.
Data Republic raised $7.6m in a 2015 series A round that included Westpac, airline operator Qantas, and financial services firm National Australia Bank, which invested through its NAB Ventures vehicle. ReInventure had previously provided an undisclosed amount of seed funding for the company.
