Eran Davidson, chief executive officer and managing partner of Germany-based Hasso Plattner Ventures, the IT and software-focused venture capital firm established by Hasso Plattner, co-founder of Germany-based software company SAP, has announced that “the time has come to move on.”
Davidson, who joined Hasso Plattner Ventures in 2005, explains: “My own way is leading me to new horizons and adventures.”
Davidson describes his time at the firm: “We grew from regional investments to three funds, one of them in Africa. It was a very special time in a country so different from my home country Israel. We have financed outstanding companies and experienced the new spirit and the international community rise in Berlin. I hope that this young development will continue.”
Before joining Hasso Plattner Ventures, Davidson served in managerial positions and as a partner in Israeli venture capital funds ProSeed Capital Fund, Eurofund, and Inventech. He holds an MBA and a law degree from Tel Aviv University.
