Corporate-backed private equity firm Idinvest Partners has taken part in a €15m ($16.3m) series A round for France-based accommodation sourcing platform Dayuse, Tnooz has reported.
The round also included venture capital firm Partech Ventures and angel investors from Dayuse’s €1m seed round, closed in February 2015. Idinvest’s limited partners include insurer Allianz, media company Lagardère Groupe and human resources provider Up Group.
Dayuse operates an online platform enabling users to book hotel rooms during the day, a time when they would traditionally be underused.
The company used its seed funding to open offices in Brazil and the US, and the series A capital will allow it to expand further, into Singapore, Hong Kong, Dubai, Australia and Argentina. It also plans to hire additional staff and maintain growth in its existing markets.
David Lebee, Dayuse’s CEO, said: “This hyper-growth phase is part of a controlled development plan that involves hiring new talents and expanding to new territories. The goal is to institutionalise Dayuse.com at an international level with the support of our partners.”
