Dekko, a US-based developer of a real world operating system to support context-aware apps on multi-sensor devices, is in talks with Intel, Samsung Electronics and Facebook about working together, according to its chief executive, Matt Miesnieks.
Miesnieks, speaking as Dekko completed a $3.2 round of funding, added that Dekko was also in talks with hardware manufacturers as well as media and entertainment companies.
Dekko has just raised $1.3m to complete a $3.2m round of funding from venture capital funds Bessemer Venture Partners, Blumberg Capital, Thomvest Ventures, Eniac Ventures, ZIG Capital, Launch Capital, Venture51, EchoVC Partners, as well as angels including Howard Lindzon (founder of Stocktwits), Erik Moore (former Merrill Lynch bond trader), Dan Conway (founder of SV Angel), and Raymond Tonsing (real estate and technology-based angel investor).
Dekko was founded 2011 by husband and wife team Matt and Silka Miesnieks, and completed a $1.9m round of funding in September 2012.
