Itxaso del Palacio has joined Microsoft Ventures, the corporate venture capital arm of US-based software provider Microsoft, as an investment partner, and will be responsible for investments in Europe.
Del Palacio was previously a principal at specialist merchant bank Lefe Partners, where she led VC investments in digital media and consumer technology companies such as festival ticket booking site Festicket and mobile ticketing platform Masabi.
Del Palacio’s new position is based at the unit’s London office in the UK. Microsoft Ventures was launched in January 2016 but has largely focused on investments in its home country.
