US-based malware defense platform provider Lastline has received $10m from a series C round backed by investors including Dell Ventures, the corporate venturing arm of computer manufacturer Dell.
Presidio Ventures, the wholly-owned US-based investment subsidiary of trading firm Sumitomo, and venture capital firms Redpoint Ventures and E.Ventures also participated.
Lastline’s platform provides defense against malware entering networks via web, files and email. The new capital will support its growing customer base and aid the building of new partnerships to improve its security and threat service.
In the last year, the company’s service has been deployed across the US, Asia and Europe.
Lastline raised $10m in a series B round in 2013 from Redpoint Ventures and E.Ventures, after securing $900,000 in funding in 2011.
