From Scratch, the Japan-based operator of digital marketing platform B->Dash, has raised ¥1bn ($8.3m) from investors including Dentsu Digital Holdings, a subsidiary of digital marketing company Dentsu, The Bridge has reported.
Venture capital firms Global Brain and Nippon Venture Capital also took part in the round. It comes after a ¥300m round backed by Itochu Technology Ventures, which acts as trading group Itochu’s corporate venturing arm, and Draper Nexus Venture Partners in May this year.
Yasuhiro Abe, From Scratch’s CEO, told The Bridge that B->Dash is used by more than 100 companies.
The company intends to expand the features available on the platform for small and medium-sized businesses and grow its workforce, with a particular focus on big data and artificial intelligence.
