Pascale Diaine has left France-based telecommunications company Orange, where she was lead manager of its Orange Fab accelerator, to join venture capital firm Storm Ventures, VentureBeat has reported.
Orange originally hired Diaine had originally been hired by Orange, then still known as France Télécom, in 2002 as an analyst and rose through the ranks to become an evangelist for its Silicon Valley-based research and development division, Orange Labs, in 2005.
Dianne played a vital role in the formation of Orange Fab in 2012. The accelerator provides $20,000+ of funding over the three-month program as well as access to corporate partners including Total, LG, Visa and Moët Hennessy.
Storm Ventures, which focuses on early-stage enterprise investments, has appointed Diaine principal. She will concentrate on investments in startups that are bringing artificial intelligence and augmented reality technology to the enterprise space.
Diaine told VentureBeat: “After feeling that my work had been validated internally and externally, I was ready for my next adventure.”
