DimensionU, a US-based maker of educational video games formerly known as Tabula Digital, has raised $1.66m of a $2.7m round.
According to a regulatory filing, there are four investors in the latest round.
At the end of 2010, Tabula (now DimensionU) raised $2m to take its then-total to more than $20m.
Publisher Pearson joined the consortium in Tabula’s $4.7m series C round in April 2010, which was led by Intel Capital, the corporate venturing unit of US-listed chip maker Intel, and included venture capital firm Ascend Venture Group. The series B round closed at $6m in August 2008.
The company also partners with seeds company Monsanto’s philanthropic fund and the International Society for Technology in Education as well as Pearson.
