US-based law firm DLA Piper has added to its venture pipeline service and online resource center for entrepreneurs.
Among the new additions to the site is the Document Factory, a tool that provides entrepreneurs with the ability to create their own basic legal documents, including sample offer letters, employee proprietary information and inventions agreements, non-disclosure agreements, mutual non-disclosure agreements, confidential materials release forms, and consulting agreements.
The venture pipeline already includes an online database of venture funds and profiles on their funding criteria and preferences, as well as a database of recent and historic company valuations. The service is free to clients of the firm.
Paul Hurdlow, co-chair of the emerging growth and venture capital practice at DLA Piper, said: "Over nearly a decade, the Venture Pipeline Group has [assisted] both early stage technology companies and venture capitalists."
DLA works with more than 450 venture funds across the US. Charles Curran, a general partner at Valhalla Partners, said: "When a potential deal is introduced to us by the DLA Piper Venture Pipeline folks, the company has been well coached and vetted with our specific criteria in mind. They really make the process much more efficient for all involved."
