HighlightCam, a US-based developer of a movie-making application to be used on technology company Apple’s devices and Android phones, has raised $3m in its series A round from a consortium including Docomo Capital, the corporate venturing unit of Japan-based phone operator Nippon Telegraph & Telephone.
HighlightCam’s other A round backers include venture capital firms Quest Venture Partners and Digital Garage.
The portfolio company’s seed round came from incubator Y Combinator and 500 Startups after HighlightCam was founded in 2009.
