Dolead, a France-based digital marketing technology developer backed by advertising agency Adverline, has received $15m in funding from venture capital firm Ring Capital and XAnge, part of private equity group Siparex.
Founded in 2007, Dolead has developed a software platform called Dolead Campaign Manager which uses automation to manage and optimise online advertising campaigns on platforms such as Google and Bing Ads.
The company has also built software known as Dolead Performance, which uses semantics and machine learning technology to find and send sales leads directly to a client’s customer relationship management account.
The funding will go to enhancing Dolead’s research and development activities at the same time as it looks to grow its business in Europe and the US. It had previously raised a total of $5m in funding, it said in a statement.
Adverline joined investment firms Alitis and Phitrust Partenaire to supply just over $1m in the company in 2007, and the latter two added $740,000 two years later. XAnge provided about $2.5m of funding in 2012, representing the first deal from its XAnge Digital 2 fund.
