Dolls Kill, a US-based online fashion retailer backed by telecommunications company Novel Group, has raised $10.7m in a funding round expected to close at $15m, according to a regulatory filing.
Founded in 2012, Dolls Kill runs an online boutique that sells clothing and cosmetics such as make-up based on its ‘Dolls’ – a collection of models who each embody a particular style. The company also operates brick-and-mortar retail outlets in San Francisco and Los Angeles.
The funding was provided by eight undisclosed investors and follows $2m from unnamed investors in March 2017 and a $5m in a series A round led by venture capital firm Maveron in 2015.
Novel Group’s corporate venturing arm, Novel TMT Ventures, and VC firm CorrelationVC are also investors in Dolls Kill, according to CorrelationVC’s website, though it did not confirm when they provided the funding.
