US-based data platform developer Domino Data Lab has raised $10.5m in a round that included media company Bloomberg’s data technology-focused venture capital unit, Bloomberg Beta.
The round was led by VC firm Sequoia Capital and included Zetta Venture Partners and In-Q-Tel, both of which had contributed to Domino’s series A round along with Bloomberg Beta. That round closed at $3m in August 2015, according to a securities filing.
Domino is building a software product that acts as a system of record and a collaboration hub for data scientists, helping facilitate research.
The company, which had initially raised $100,000 in funding in April 2015, according to another filing, will use the funding for product development.
