DotC United, a China-based diversified mobile app developer spun out of digital marketing firm Avazu, has raised RMB300m ($45m) in series A funding, China Money Network reported today.
The capital was provided by Bertelsmann Asia Investments, a corporate venturing subsidiary of Germany-headquartered media firm Bertelsmann, and venture capital firms Banyan Capital, Chengwei Capital, Morningside Venture Capital and Lightspeed China Partners.
Founded in 2015 by Avazu, DotC’s apps include Swift WiFi, which speeds up wifi access while checking the safety of a signal; Flash Keyboard, an adaptable, multi-language keyboard for mobile devices; and Android lock screen app Swift Locker.
DotC, which claims to have more than 50 million users for its apps on the Google Play app store alone, plans to use the funding to add more apps to its product offering.
