Dynamic Yield adds up $2m

Dynamic Yield, an Israel-based developer of real-time audience personalization software for online publishers, has raised $2m in its series A round from a consortium including media group New York Times Company.

Venture capital firm Bessemer Venture Partners led the A round, which also included Google chairman Eric Schmidt’s investment fund Innovation Endeavors.

Adam Fisher, partner at BVP, where he manages the firm’s Herzliya office focused on investments in Israel and Europe, said: “There are a lot of tools and services in the market to optimize discreet components of a website but nothing that takes a holistic view of how to maximize revenue across revenue sources and yet improve user engagement and satisfaction at the same time.

“With its big data approach, Dynamic Yield helps website owners achieve this difficult balance, while still allowing for editorial control. We are excited for the opportunity to support Liad [Agmon, co-founder and chief executive of Dynamic Yield,] a former Bessemer EIR [entrepreneur-in-residence].”
