EclecticIQ, a Netherlands-based cybersecurity intelligence platform, has closed a €14m ($16.4m) series B round featuring telecommunications company KPN’s corporate venturing unit, KPN Ventures.
Venture capital firm Keen Venture Partners led the round with participation from VC firm Inkef Capital. It came after KPN Ventures and Inkef provided $6.4m for EclecticIQ’s series A round in May 2016.
Founded in 2014, EclecticIQ has developed threat intelligence software offering called EclecticIQ Platform that aggregates multiple sources of intelligence concerning threat detection, prevention and response capabilities.
The company supplements the platform with EclecticIQ Fusion Centre, which allows organisations to acquire bundles of cyber threat intelligence from leading suppliers.
The new funding will be used to expand the company’s workforce with the intention of increasing the capabilities of its Fusion Centre product. EclecticIQ has raised more than $23m in venture capital to date.
Joep Gommers, CEO and founder of EclecticIQ, said: “EclecticIQ plays a pivotal role in supporting our customers and partners in their fight against the accelerating landscape of cyber threats. Agility and human enablement is key in bringing back balance in our fight against cyber adversaries.
“We are in a unique position to not just enable analysts with the tools they require to be as productive as they can be, but also to give them access to the world’s leading intelligence suppliers without the hassle of complicated integration and procurement.”
