Australia-based human resources software developer Employment Hero has received A$27m ($21.4m) in a round backed by recruitment marketplace platform operator Seek and enterprise software provider Salesforce, according to Australian Financial Review.
Salesforce is believed to have invested through its corporate venture capital subsidiary, Salesforce Ventures, the local paper added citing unnamed sources.
The financing, which valued Employment Hero at more than $178m, also included venture capital firms AirTree Ventures and OneVentures.
Founded in 2014, Employment Hero provides a software platform that enables businesses to manage human resources tasks such as onboarding new employees, running employee payroll and maintaining regulatory compliance.
Seek led a $16m series C round for the business in mid-2019, with participation from OneVentures and AirTree.
Employment Hero raised $6.1m for its series B round in 2018, co-led by Seek and OneVentures. The round also featured AirTree and financial services firm AMP.
AirTree, OneVentures and AMP’s now-defunct corporate venturing unit, AMP New Ventures, invested in a $3.2m series A round raised across two tranches in 2016.
