Investment firm Ince Capital has provided tens of millions of dollars of series B funding for Empower Education Online, a China-based online education provider backed by several corporates, DealStreetAsia reported yesterday.
Empower Education is the operator of ClassIn, an online platform that hosts livestreamed lessons for students aged six to 18 years old. The platform utilises an interactive blackboard and offers access to cloud-based education tools.
Education provider TAL Education Group and digital teaching and assessment services provider ATA invested an undisclosed sum in Empower in 2016 before joining New Oriental Education & Technology Group to provide about $14m in a 2017 series A-plus round.
