European and Israeli entrepreneurs join Google accelerator

Google for Startups Accelerator, which is run by US-headquartered internet technology provider Google, has chosen a cohort consisting of nine startups based in Europe and Israel.

The three-month programme will begin in November 2020 and be conducted online. Its participants are working on app development, e-commerce, education and healthcare technology.

The batch includes Norway-based app creation technology developer AppFarm, Romania-headquartered written content aggregator Deepstash and Sqin, a startup from Germany that operates an artificial intelligence (AI)-powered app that helps users choose cosmetic products based on their skin type.

Coding education provider CodeBerry and language learning game developer Xeropan from Hungary featured in the list, as did MilkStrip, the Israel-based creator of a breast milk quality testing kit.

The roster was filled out by three companies in Poland: Infermedica, which is working on software that chooses appropriate care options using patient data; Sundose, which makes personalised diet supplements; and Yosh.AI, which is developing an AI-equipped voice and text customer service tool.
