EV Growth, a Japan-based venture capital partnership between internet company Yahoo Japan, conglomerate Sinar Mas and VC firm East Ventures, has hired three executives, DealStreetAsia reported yesterday.
The firm hired David Fernando Audy, former CEO of media group MNC, as operating partner, and Mulyono Xu, former managing director of Ant Financial-backed VC firm Bace Capital, and Pascal Christian-Sarana, former director of new ventures at e-commerce holding company Rocket Internet, as investment vice-presidents.
EV Growth was launched in 2018 and closed its first fund at $250m at the end of 2019. Its portfolio includes travel booking platform developer Traveloka, which secured $250m in July 2020, and Tokopedia, the e-commerce marketplace currently raising money at a $7.5bn pre-money valuation.
