Even Financial, the US-based developer of a consumer recommendation platform for financial services firms, has secured $18.8m in a series A round featuring payment services provider American Express.
Venture development firm GreatPoint Ventures led the round, which included investment banking firm Goldman Sachs, Canaan Partners, F-Prime Capital, Lerer Hippeau and various angel investors.
American Express subsidiary American Express Ventures participated in the round’s $3.3m first tranche in January 2018, investing alongside Arab Angels, Plug and Play Ventures and Valuestream Ventures.
Founded in 2015, Even Financial produces software that enables financial services providers to search, compare and recommend a large range of financial plans and options for their customers depending on their individual needs.
The funding will help the company move into new areas such as deposits, credit cards and mortgages.
Even Financial had previously received $6.2m in seed capital, including $2.8m in 2015 from Canaan Partners, Lerer Hippeau, Brooklyn Bridge Ventures, Conversion Capital, Social Leverage, 555 Capital and assorted angel investors.
