Commerce services provider EverCommerce has acquired Canada-based contractor management app developer Joist for an undisclosed sum, allowing Citi Ventures, financial services firm Citi’s corporate venturing unit, to exit, BetaKit reported last month.
Joist has built a mobile app that enables general contractors to remotely manage projects and automatically process payments. It will operate as an independent subsidiary of EverCommerce post-acquisition, with added resources from the corporate.
The company had raised an undisclosed amount from investors including Citi Ventures and Mantella Venture Partners, the venture capital fund formed by property developer Mantella, as well as Social Leverage, Golden Ventures, Accomplice and Matrix Partners since being founded in 2011.
