Two former corporate venturing figures have launched a Silicon Valley-based venture capital firm called Nautilus Venture Partners, for which they are seeking $150m, Fortune reported on Friday.
The two founding partners of Nautilus are Connie Sheng, previously the director of global investment for contract manufacturer Foxconn, and Brian Kang, who was the managing director of Samsung Ventures, electronics maker Samsung’s corporate venturing unit, for almost 10 years up to late 2013.
Nautilus plans to invest in startups while also leveraging its connections to help them partner with technology companies.
Several of those companies have reportedly contributed to the fund as limited partners, though the firm has not yet disclosed their identities.
