FeedHenry applies itself to $9m

FeedHenry, an Ireland-based provider of mobile enterprise application services, has raised €7m ($9m) in a round led by Intel Capital, the corporate venturing unit of the eponymous chip company, as a new investor.

Alongside Intel Capital in the round were online data storage company VMware, venture capital firms ACT Venture Capital and Kernel Capital, state-backed Enterprise Ireland and angel investors.

In March last year, FeedHenry said it would use VMware’s Cloud Foundry to host its mobile application platform with an investment from the data company about then.

Marcos Battisti, managing director for Intel Capital in western Europe and Israel, said: “The mobile application market segment for enterprise is at a tipping point and those companies delivering a comprehensive solution that provide both an end to end mobile development strategy and a way to implement applications easily and securely will be at the forefront of the market segment.”
