Spain-based logistics platform Packlink has secured $12.6m in series C funding led by Eight Roads Ventures, the investment arm of financial services firm Fidelity International.
Accel Partners and Active Venture Partners participated in the funding round.
Founded in 2012, Packlink’s platform offers price and feature comparison for some 300 services offered by more than 20 couriers. Once users have selected a service, they pay online before their parcels are collected and sent by the chosen provider. Users can also print shipping labels themselves.
Packlink currently operates in Spain, Germany, France and Italy, with logistics partners including TNT, DHL and UPS.
Accel led a $9m series B round in June 2014 which also featured Active Venture Partners, after Active had previously provided $1.7m in series A funding in 2013.
Ben Askew-Renaut, founder and CEO of Packlink, said: “This investment will help Packlink on its path to becoming a leading provider of carrier services across Europe, giving both businesses and consumers easy access to the world of shipping and parcel delivery.”
