FieldIn, the US-based operator of a farm resource management platform, has collected $12m in funding from investors including agricultural product distributor Wilbur-Ellis and media, data and investment firm AgFunder.
The round was led by venture capital fund Zeev Ventures with contributions from VC firms Germin8 Ventures, Gal Ventures and Terra Venture Partners, while Wilbur-Ellis invested through corporate venturing unit Cavallo Ventures.
Founded in 2012, FieldIn has created a sensor-driven software platform that provides farm managers with an overview of information connected with their plantations to help them maximise yields by limiting risk and enhancing planning.
The company had previously closed a $4m round in January 2018 that was co-led by Gal Ventures and Germin8 Ventures and which included existing backer Terra Venture Partners, the government-owned Israel Innovation Authority and unnamed angel investors.
FieldIn had already graduated from Terra Venture Partners’ Terra Lab incubator. It also received $20,000 of prize funding from GWC Innovator Fund in early 2016.
