Meredith Finn, senior director at Salesforce Ventures, the corporate venturing arm of cloud software provider Salesforce, who helped launch its $50m Impact Fund, has left to do “great work” for herself.
Claudine Emeott, a director of Salesforce Impact Fund, now oversees Impact Fund, having joined the unit in 2017 after a five-year stint at non-profit organisation Kiva Microfunds, which loans its $150m annual fund to low-income entrepreneurs.
Profiled for her GCV Rising Stars award this year, Finn said the fund’s launch was one of her biggest achievements. For her profile, she said: “We have already invested in 11 companies, including Andela, Angaza, Ellevest, Flutterwave and Hustle.”
Finn had an active year in 2017, investing in Andela’s $40m C round, Hustle’s $8m A round, a round of undisclosed sized for Conga, a $20m round for CloudCraze and Voicera’s $5.5m seed round.
Finn’s earlier portfolio companies have also broadly performed well, including business planning platform Anaplan, which raised $60m in series F funding last month at a $1.4bn valuation.
